The chances for successful mediation are much greater if we pay attention, and even emphasis, on the reference to the personal and emotional aspects of the parties.
At the end of a successful mediation an agreement is signed, and it is considered to be even more successful if the parties leave satisfied or at least relieved.
For these reasons, the mediator must have been confronted with a tortuous factual contention and complex legal arguments.
However, no less simple, sometimes decisive, confrontation is dealing with the personal and emotional makeup of all parties to mediation.
